Abstract
The register, which is the object of the present study, comprises 66 folios written on both sides and is preserved in the Manuscripts Fund of Putna Monastery’s Archives. It offers valuable information about the members of Putna brotherhood and their activities at the end of the 19th century, about how the funds were acquired and how they were administered, about the food suppliers and the range of the purchased goods. The data about the income and the expenses of the monastery are readily accessible from the register despite the archaic language and the often orthographic mistakes.
The importance of the register is that it sheds light on the day to day life of the monks from Putna, a little investigated theme so far.
