Abstract
An article published in Hungary bearing the signatures of E. Schultheisz and L. Tardy deals with the biography of Isaac Beg, the messenger sent to Europe by Uzun Hasan, the Eastern adversary of Sultan Mehmed II. The present paper compares the observations and results from this study with those of Romanian historians’. The conclusion is that the year of 1472 as the date of Uzun Hasan’s letter to Prince Stephen the Great must be preserved.
