Abstract
During the 1972 archaeological investigations from Putna Monastery a bronze seal of Bishop Dosithei Herescu was unearthed.
Bishop Dosithei was tonsured in Putna, being the abbot of the monastery between 1747 and 1748. On November 13, 1750 he was ordained bishop of Rădăuți, and after the Habsburg Empire occupied the North of Moldavia he became exempt Bishop of Bukovina.
