Abstract
The present paper provides new data about the political activity of Archimandrite Teofil Patraș before he became the abbot of the Putna Monastery, about some of his deeds as a benefactor, the articles he published, his missionary endeavor and impressions of some of the pilgrim-visitors to Putna.
